The Fashion Group, Inc. was established in 1928 by Edna Wollman Chase, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue magazine. Founding members included Elizabeth Arden, Eleanor Roosevelt and Helena Rubinstein. In 1962, the local Fashion Group of Seattle coordinated the Interiors and Fashion Exhibit located in the World of Commerce and Industry complex at the Seattle's World Fair. Clothing and textiles were exhibited in the Fashion Pavilion and four fashion shows were held daily featuring women's apparel from 20 clothing companies.
